Terms of Service
1. Who we are & what Zoomoff is
Zoomoff ("Zoomoff", "we", "us") is a technology platform, operated by Zoomoff Ltd (RC 9583596), No. 1, Arondizuogu Street, Garki, FCT, Nigeria, that connects people who need a ride or want to send a parcel with independent drivers and couriers who provide the transport.
We are a marketplace, not a transport company. Drivers and couriers are independent providers, not our employees. Zoomoff does not itself carry passengers or goods; it lets you find, book, pay for and follow a trip or delivery, and handles the platform around it (matching, pricing, payments, ratings and safety tools).
2. Accepting these Terms
By creating an account, entering your phone number to continue, or booking a ride or delivery, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. When you book a parcel you also tick a specific box confirming you accept these Terms and that your parcel contains no prohibited items. If you do not agree, please do not use Zoomoff.
3. Eligibility & your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
- You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code (OTP). Keep access to your phone and account secure — you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Rider and driver accounts are separate. The same phone number can hold one rider account and one driver account; they are managed independently.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Impersonation or false details may lead to suspension.
4. Rides
Booking & fares
Before you book, we show an estimated fare based on the route, distance, time and the ride option you choose. The final amount can differ if the route, stops or conditions change. For a carpool option, the price you see is the standard fare; it may reduce if another rider is matched to share the trip.
Cancellations, waiting & no-shows
- You can cancel a search or a booked ride from the app. If no driver is found, the request expires.
- After a driver arrives there is a short free wait, then a waiting period. If you are not ready by the end of it, the driver may mark a no-show and a flat no-show fee may be charged. If you board late, a per-minute waiting charge may apply. These amounts are shown in the app.
- An unpaid wait/no-show fee may need to be settled before you can book again.
During the trip
Treat drivers and their vehicles with respect. Do not ask a driver to break traffic laws, carry more passengers than the vehicle allows, or transport prohibited items. Wear seatbelts and follow safety rules.
5. Parcel delivery
Zoomoff lets you send a parcel by bike or bicycle courier. When you book you must confirm that your parcel does not contain prohibited items and that you accept these Terms.
Prohibited items
You must not send, and a courier may refuse or hand to the authorities, anything that is illegal or unsafe, including but not limited to:
- illegal drugs or controlled substances;
- weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives or fireworks;
- flammable, toxic, corrosive or otherwise hazardous materials;
- stolen, counterfeit or fraudulent goods;
- live animals, human remains, or perishable items that cannot survive transit;
- large amounts of cash or other high-value valuables;
- anything the sender is not legally entitled to send.
Your responsibilities as a sender
- You are responsible for what you send and for packaging it safely. You confirm the contents are legal and accurately described.
- Delivery uses a hand-off code and, where enabled, a PIN the receiver gives the courier on delivery. Share the PIN only with the intended receiver.
- Zoomoff and the courier are not liable for losses caused by prohibited, illegal, poorly packaged, or misdescribed items.
6. Drivers & couriers
- You are an independent contractor, not a Zoomoff employee, partner or agent. You decide when to go online and which requests to accept.
- You must hold and keep valid the licences, registration, insurance and documents required to drive or courier legally, and provide accurate vehicle details. We may verify documents before you can go online.
- You keep the fare on the rides you complete. Zoomoff does not take a commission on ride fares; instead access to the platform may require a subscription or fee, shown in the driver app, which is separate from your earnings. For parcels and any other services, the applicable fee model is shown in the app.
- Earnings and payouts are recorded in your wallet and paid out per the payout method and schedule in the app. You are responsible for your own taxes.
- Follow the law, drive safely, treat riders and their goods with care, and do not discriminate. Serious or repeated issues (safety, fraud, low ratings, document lapses) may lead to suspension or removal.
7. Payments, wallet & refunds
- You can pay by cash or from your Zoomoff wallet. Wallet top-ups are processed by our payment partner. We do not store your full card details.
- For wallet-paid trips, the fare is taken when the trip starts (or at pickup for a parcel). If your wallet cannot cover it, the app may switch the trip to cash.
- Referral credits or promotions, where offered, are used before cash and have their own terms.
- Because trips are performed by independent drivers, refunds are handled case by case — contact support if something went wrong. Fees already earned by a driver (for example a valid no-show fee) are generally not refundable.
8. Ratings & conduct
Riders and drivers rate each other after a trip. Ratings help keep the community safe. Be respectful. Harassment, threats, discrimination, unsafe behaviour, or damaging a vehicle or property is not allowed and may lead to removal from the platform. Report problems through the app.
9. Safety features
10. Things you must not do
- Break the law, or use Zoomoff to facilitate anything illegal.
- Create fake accounts, impersonate others, or abuse referrals, promos or the wallet.
- Interfere with, scrape, reverse-engineer, overload or attack the platform.
- Send prohibited items, or ask a driver or courier to do anything unsafe or unlawful.
- Harass, threaten, defraud or endanger other users, drivers or couriers.
11. Suspension & closing accounts
We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, poses a safety or fraud risk, or where required by law. A suspended account is signed out and blocked from booking or going online. You can ask to close your account at any time; some records may be kept as explained in the Privacy Policy and as required by law.
12. Disclaimers & limits of liability
The service is provided "as is". We work to keep matching, pricing, maps, ETAs and the app reliable, but we do not guarantee that a driver or courier will always be available, that estimates are exact, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Because Zoomoff is a marketplace connecting you with independent providers, we are not responsible for the acts, omissions, driving, conduct or goods of drivers, couriers or other users. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Zoomoff is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to a trip or delivery is limited to the amount you paid Zoomoff for that trip or delivery. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. You agree to indemnify Zoomoff against claims arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these Terms.
13. Changes, law & contact
We may update these Terms as the service changes; we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Zoomoff means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the Nigerian courts.
